The current Skoda Superb has been on the market since 2001. Now a first prototype mule of this model’s replacement has been sighted in cold weather testing in Northern Scandinavia.

The photos were taken while the prototype was unloaded from a truck. It is clearly visible that the next generation Superb will grow considerably in overall length, although the prototype is still using the old - but elongated - body. The Volkswagen-owned Skoda company will also give the new Superb all new styling.

Nothing is not yet known about the engines, but most likely again it will use four and six cylinder petrol - and four and six cylinder turbo diesel engines.

The photos are showing the prototype mule and one computer image suggesting how the new Superb could look like upon its release.
