Unfortunately the WCF team were unable to make the journey over to Dubai to see the new Maybach Landaulet in the flesh for the first time, however loyal WCF reader "Vinay" was fortunately enough to be there and has duely sent us some liveshots of the event.
The Landaulet is a one off concept but we are sure there will be no shortage of takers demanding at least a limited production run.
See here for more information about the Maybach Landaulet Concept.

You are, yes. The car is very nice, but I prefer black.

Dubai is the best place to sell super expensive pointless items, like diamond encrusted Vertu cellphones. I much rather see a Maybach 82 come out with 6 doors with the last doors opening suicide style, and face to face seating 2+2 in the back with some kinda table in the middle. Now that would be sick, not this pointless half convertible thing.

I hope the trend for white goes away- it looks so cheap and reminds you of horrid 80's specials like the Tickford Lagonda. Also how do you see out the back. However having watched the video it is a very special car- far more than the regular jumped-up S-class Maybach

White is in, especially on fancy cars, the contrast of a complicated modern design and a simple colour is very fashionable, for example the versace LP640. Every peasant has an orange, yellow, or green lambo. White is very classy in my opinion.

I would go for the girl, anytime . . .
It would take a special car to do otherwise. Sorry, this is not the one.
