Skoda is building some hype for the unveiling of their new flagship model, the Skoda Superb. The unveiling is scheduled for the 2008 Geneva Motor Show in early March and we will be there to bring you all the news from the show floor.
One of the available engines will be the 1.8 liter TSI engine producing 160 bhp (118 kW). Rumours are that this engine could propel the Superb from 0 to 100 km/h in under 9 seconds, but what the Skoda enthusiasts are waiting for is the 3.6 liter FSI (280 bhp). Whether they get it? We will know by March 4 and 5.
[Update]: The new Skoda Superb measures in at 4,838 mm in length, 1,783 in width, 1,461 in height and has 2,761 mm long wheelbase. The Superb will have a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines ranging from 77 kW to 191 kW in both manual and automatic transmissions.
Pure Korean chic ;) The best part of Suberb is new VW 1.8 TSI engine. Anyway, I would rather buy secondhand German or Swedish instead.
Manages to be boxy but not very imposing, anonymous and more dated looking than it's predecesor
Looks like a Renault from behind, front is noticeably better. Not too bad at all.
Not bad at all, although it does look like a Renault from behind.
15 years ago no one would belive skoda will make such a great looking passat competitor...
I'm not a fan of Skodas, I hate them really. But I have to say this one looks great. It's elegant, classy and sublimed just like the Phaeton. Kudos to Skoda.
Looks like based on the current Passat rather than the new A4 (centered engine), iow huge front overhang + short axis to dash ratio = unbalanced
it´s a very nice design in the front but the rear lights are some kind of a Volvo...also i like this car and its more cheap then a passat coupe or things like that...great job

Not bad. It has a serious limousine-like look. I wasn't expecting a great design from Skoda, but I have to admit I am impressed.
I am not sure about the tail lights though, they don't look convincing. Might look better in real life though. Good job Skoda.
