Land Rover LRX Unveiled at Detroit
Vision of Land Rover future
The BMW X6 may be paving the way for the Coupe SUV niche market, but Land Rover will be fielding a competent competitor if it ever makes it into production. Tata Motors is about to buy the Brisish marque from Ford, therefor plans may change.
“The LRX concept delivers the powerful message that we are as serious about sustainability as we are confident about the continuing relevance and desirability of our vehicles,” says Phil Popham, Land Rover’s managing director. “LRX is in every respect a Land Rover, but it’s a very different Land Rover. At this stage, LRX is purely a concept, designed to help us develop our thinking as well as gauge customer reaction.”
Back in December the official information was released, so only the actual act of unveiling the Coupe SUV remained and that was done yesterday at the end of day one of the three press days in Detroit. We were there to snap the attached photo's.
now the RANGE is getting more beautiful... but i hope that they wont take out its personality from its design
I agree. I hope it stays true to the concept when/if it makes it to production. I was rather disappointed at how bland the Range Rover Sport turned out when the Range Stormer was such an agressive, attractive concept.

afterace2, you are right, x6 is no match, LRX is the best concept of coupe SUV, it doesn't look like Hulk wearing a mini skirt,desperate to look sexy.I hope the concept basic design will continue to production line
right now they have no other option, they NEED to get it into production looking like this, otherwise they are simply stupid.
love the design.. those weels are simply gorgeous.. but surely the desin of the front bumper, headlamps and wheels will change in the production model should they decide to produce it..
