For the Jeep arm of the Chrysler LLC concept trio, we are presented with the Jeep Renegade Concept, a sporty two seater B segment vehicle ideal for dune-surfing or rock-crawling.

Following the same theme as the Chrysler ecoVoyager & Dodge Zeo, the Renegade is powered by a Lithium-ion battery which is capable of doing up to 40 miles on its dual electric 200 kilowatt(268hp) motors. A back up 1.5 liter BLUETEC diesel engine allows the Renegade to go 400 miles on a single run.

On the exterior we get large, flaring wheel openings, oversized wheels and tires, and a cut-down speedster windshield portraying a “one-with-nature” personality. The interior only features necessary components and the materials have been selected to be environmentally responsible.

way to go , Jeep ! a commendable resculpturing of all your classic styling signatures rendered in contemporaneous form. ingenious facade treatment with smooth bumper/skid plate to fender/grille transitions all echoed seamlessly at the rear section. that raised quarter rear on shot is a work of 21st century industrial design art with no bulky spare tire to mar that clean posterior. i like the offroad speedster concept and the car's cut-down proportions promises dynamically - precise handling characteristics .I would readily jettison though the idea of employing individual lids at the cargo bay since this limits the level of spatial flexibility in this critically- important compartment. the introduction of dedicated leg bolsters along the driver's seat to stabilize driving posture during severe, multiple cornering maneuvers, similar to and unwittingly deleted by PORSCHE from its Boxster prototype model , is in order . may I suggest that a slight physical depression be made atop of the vehicle's hood a la 911 in order to blend and appropriately compliment the pronounced headlamp casings. this projected design exercise would benefit greatly from your earlier four-wheel steering/drive technology presented some years back which was quoted as being given serious consideration by the US Army. fully independent suspension geometry allied to electronically-governed variable torque split distribution on all four wheels would make this vehicle literally and figuratively turn on a dime. LET'S DANCE , SHALL WE ?
