Tomorrow we will know

What will the S signify? If we can believe the internet rumor mill, the S will stand for something like Sport and will be slapped onto the Maserati GranTurismo's rear end. Last year Maserati surprised friend and foe with their new GranTurismo but critics were quick to point out the lack of real sportiness on the GT, which should be remedied with the GranTurismo S.

The Maserati GranTurismo S will most likely feature the same engine as the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, a 4.7 liter V8 pumping out 440 hp. Five teaser quotes reveal to us the following, that the GranTurismo S will have a dual-clutch transmission capable of 1/10th of a second shifts, should be at 100 km/h from standstill in 4.9 seconds and should be at a halt again in just 35 meters.

Maserati will be releasing additional info tomorrow.

Not as powerful and not as good looking. The DB9 remains an absolute beauty, whereas this looks too big and also appears to have Ford Galaxy rear lights.

What a criticism!! This is much more beautiful than the aston. This one has soul; the aston is soo typical, you never feel that theres a special view in the car, while this one is just a piece of art from every side.. May be the designers got inpired by your Ford's rear lights while designing the car!!

Dual-clutch transmission? It will have transmission from Alfa 8C, which is nevertheless very fast and improved version of older version called Cambicorsa and is mounted on the real axle. But the car istelf is georgous!
