Close resemblance to Provoq

The Saab 9-4X has been confirmed and shown to the public, but its sibling, the Cadillac BRX remains under wraps. The two CUV's share General Motor's new Theta-Epsilon platform and Cadillac is hoping to build (and sell of course) 75,000 units annually with production starting early 2009 at GM's Ramos Arizpe plant.

Through the thick wrapping on the test car we can see glimpses of the Cadillac Provoq Concept grille and the tail fin-like rear light clusters that protrude slightly from the covers. Whether these features will make into production is too early to tell.

Power is expected to come from a 300 hp, 3.6 liter V6 engine, also powering the Cadillac CTS. We also expect to see a 2.0 liter diesel in the range, but if US customers will have that option remains to be seen.

Could just be a facelift for the SRX, seems like roughly the same size and shape

Are you joking? This is clearly smaller, has a much lower back end and thicker A pillars. Built in Mexico? This could mean low cost punctual solutions that repercute in the overall style of the vehicle...
