Aston Martin Rapide Spotted with Glass Roof
Earlier today we caught the first shots of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS racing round the Nurburgring and fortunately this wasn't the only car the British manufacturers were testing.
Revealed in these latest spy shots, we can the see the super sexy Aston Martin Rapide is gonna get even sexier with the addition of a panoramic glass roof stretching from the top of the windscreen to the top of the rear window.
Power is likely to come from Aston Martin's 6.0 liter V12 engine producing around 500bhp, 0-60mph will be achieved in under 5 seconds and the top speed lies above 180mph. Sources claim we will see the production ready car hit dealerships sometime in 2009, so we should see the Rapide debut later this year with Paris being a likely destination.
why couldnt porsche do the same thing with their panarama??? seriouasly... this is actually really good looking!
this thing really is going to be better looking than the porsche, but probably not even a patch on it performance-wise.
only question i have is ... is this car going to handle.. i mean i think AM can do it but ..idk!! if could porsche has no chance.. but i doubt that! so sad!
This car looks great. But I'm somewhat disappointed. It looks just like a 4-door Vantage. Not to say thats a bad thing, but I would like to see something original. Maybe a little more of AM's next styling direction?
You must see more picture of Aston Martin rapide is a db9 with extended wheel base not a vantage dude! and this car looks beautiful like other Aston Martin cars.
but the Vantage and DB9 share too many design cues! Apart they look nearly identical, together they look like different versions of the same platform. Oh wait, they are...

This 4 door Aston is like the limousine of the super car world. Sure it tries to look smaller, but it still looks oddly proportioned for an Aston

The 4 door coupe market is a big thing. Mercedes already proved that with the sales for their CLS class. Clearly, they think its a market to make money from. Just look at how many manufacturers are designing 4 dorr coupes. However, its difficult to beat the car or even rival it, since it has been on the market for some time, but Aston Martin and a few other manufacturers are doing their best.
i really cant wait to see this car out there, Aston Martin mave really moved up in the world and at the moment i think they are better at any other supper car, in looks and quality.
