Geely at 2008 Auto China
The 2008 Auto China show in Beijing will be an important milestone show for Geely. It will be the show where the Chinese marque re-invents itself with a horde of new models all with the 'intention to continue beyond'.
Geely said in a previous press release: 'The year 2008 holds great significance for Geely’s Internationalization, strategic transform and overall elevation of the competitiveness of Geely Brand.'
Geely will be bringing 23 models to the show consisting of a concept car and three high tech models among others, a record for the Chinese car maker. One of this year's show-stoppers will be the Geely GT, a grand-tourer Geely CEO Li Shufu classed as a 'small Rolls-Royce'.
Thirteen models will show where Geely is headed in the near future, starting with the King Kong and CE hatchbacks, HE minivan, NL and Cross GE SUVs and the FC-1, FC-2 and FC-3.
Stay tuned for more information later this month at the 2008 Auto China show.
thats pretty good for a Chinese manufacturer, if your only comment is that they copied the wheels.
And a Pontiac Solstice, a few Daewoo & Chevrolet concepts, the Dacia Sandero, the Hyundai Sonata..... it goes on. Not original at all.
China can make underwear and socks, but I will NEVER buy a car and risk my life or my family's life in one made there.
hey sensei, i bet ten years ago people also think about korean cars the same way as you think of chinese cars now. just look how far the korean companies have come, i'm sure the chinese manufacturers will start to catch up with other international manufacturers in no more than ten years. just wait and see.
PS. i'm not a chinese alright.
Its not about thinking, its about factual crash test videos. IF they can ever build a SAFE car that doesn't crumple like a ball of aluminum foil, then I might be interested. Until then, the crash test videos damn them.
At first glance... I thought it was some new Chevrolet
yep same here. looks like a chevy suv from far. but the concepts do look decent. if only they look just the way are now
a bit of astra, a bit of this a bit of that - throw in some chevy and u have some new concepts...
wonder if they are hybrid?! lol

BMW alloys...
