Cano Ozgener. It may be just a name amongst a list of little newborn babies in a hospital, or Wall Street bankers, or movie credits. Not a chance this time. Ozgener is founder of CAO International, a company in the cigar business. He is now the proud owner of the world’s first Cadillac CTS-V. He will be sending a clean new check for $75,000 bound for the Prostate Cancer Foundation, who are the beneficiaries of the auction at which he bought the car. The auction featured in “A Night to Remember,” a glittering evening of fine food, wine and cigars, now in its 17th year, hosted by Cigar Aficionado magazine and sponsored in part by Cadillac.

“Cadillac is proud of our longtime association with this great event on behalf of prostate cancer research and treatment,” said Cadillac general manager Jim Taylor. “We congratulate Mr. Ozgener, both for making a generous bid benefiting a great charity, and for joining a very elite club of new CTS-V owners.”

Ozgener will be enjoying the full benefits of alcantara luxury cocooning an interior from which he will be able to roll down his electric windows and hear 550 horses on a full trot, generated by the supercharged 6.2-liter V8. CTS-V also features what GM says is the world’s fastest reacting suspension system Magnetic Ride Control.

very sexy interior. Cadillac is moving up in my books.

totally agree. design looks much more cohesive and really stands out compared to a BMW, Merc or Audi. but it probably handles like a pig, and has a really cheap interior. although i hope cadillac can prove me wrong on those points!!!

as for the interior, click on the picture of the interior to see what it looks like. And for the handling, check out the top gear review of the last model of the cts-v.

Top Gear is hardly the objective authority anything. It's more a vehicle for Clarkson to read witty stuff mostly written by other people. Check out Auto Motor und Sport on Tv if you want a really exhaustive road test.

the thing is, top gear is a very European oriented/biased show. The fact that they say a Cadillac handles good is an honor for an American car company such as Cadillac.

Have you not read any reviews for this car worldcarfan87? Cause if you had you wouldn't have made handling and interior statements.

Yeah the interior looks good in a rendering, i honestly hope the interior looks like that in real life because it would make it the only GM that appeals to me and is even close to something from europe/japan. But, lets face it historical data and stats show that this car is going to again be made out of plastic and have crappy build quality that will make it never as good as an C63 AMG or a M3 Sedan or RS4 even lexus IS-F. It's a great car for the money, but now is it really that great to get people to buy it over european/jap sports sedans? probably not.

Joe_Limon well if you want to talk top gear the M5 beat the C6 vette around the track, i doubt cts-v will be faster than vette so it still doesn't even come close to german handling and technology. An RS4 will eat this thing alive on the track and in my opinion has a better interior and looks better too. Now to the real comparison, i would love to see a head to head between this and lexus IS-F, both are roughly the same price and power weight and length. My money is on the IS-F in every sector.

People are talkin about this car like is isn't already for sale. The 2008 CTS has been for sale for a while now. I don't understand all of this talk about build quality. There are plenty of reviews out there that praise the build quality and interior materials of the CTS.And radmeister your comparing the M% to the Bas C6 which cost alot less than the M5. Your not talkin about the Z06 and definently not the ZR1. The CTS-V has 500 more horse power than the M5 and all of the review say that the base CTS handles very well. I just ask that you at least research the car before you start bad mouthing it just cause its American. I honestly don't understand why so many American car haters comment on the American part of this site. Its like people come here just to talk unfounded sh*t.

That M% is supposed to be M5 and that 500 is supposed to be 50 more hp. oops

Yeah i know the M5 is more expensive than the C6 vette, but it is also 1000lbs more and it is a medium size sedan which managed to put a 2 door "sports car" to shame. If you think this will be faster than the C6 vette you are mistaken. I have sat in all of these cars at the car show numerous times, and have had the opportunity to drive a 2005 CTS-V. You are right the interior is amazing in comparison to other american cars. Also the handling is very nice, more firm than you would expect on a caddy, i was not too fond of the seats in the 2005, but put it up against european or japanese cars in that price range and it doesn't compare. No matter how you look at it the cts-v simply doesn't give you as much for your $ as an RS4 or M3 Sedan, sure it has more power but who cares, that engine makes up 8000$ of that 60,000+ price tag, where is the rest going?

i think that the interior looks like there is lots of quality in there... only if they could put this standard of interior in the escalade

it's a strong step forward for cadillac but i think that it doesnt go about it the american way , like the interior reminds me a lot of other cars...it looks good for a cadillac but i dont think i would get one...

Maybe GM should auction all their cars- they've already done it with the Challenger.... $10 says they'll do it with the Camaro (when they finally get round to making it) Worthy causes win so it's all good

Gmfan i wouldn't worry about Radmeister's comments he/she is a fool who has very little knowledge of cars. Who bases his comments on the badge on the front for example when Nissan"s Navara scored 1 star in the EuroNCAP he made no comment but had it been a GM car that got 1 star he would of labled it a POS.
