Cadillac CTS Wagon Caught
In order for the CTS series to compete successfully againsts the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4, further variants beyond the already released sedan will need to be launched. The high powered CTS-V was revealed ealier this year alongside the CTS Coupe Concept which has been spotted on numerous occassions under development ready for production. When the Coupe is unveiled we expect to see a convertible version not too far down the line.
These latest photos show a prototype for the CTS wagon whilst undergoing testing ready for a possible unveiling later this year in Paris. Styling stays largely unchanged on the front with the rear sporting a thick C pillar and appears to follow the design cues from the BLS Wagon.
GM expect to sell 10,000-12-000 units annually of the CTS wagon with a large proportion of those coming in Europe, it will be built alongside the sedan and coupe at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant.
BLS sells slow and new CTS's dashboard night view is almost like Tokio by nights.

I live North West of Detroit and caught a look at this prototype (one of the many). A friend of mine said that that Tech Center is chalked full of two doors and that there are a few 5 door wagons sans camo around the building. The car looked good, however, it has a small cargo area. It is going to be a good car, I just question the profit making potential of a wagon in North America and the 'got to hae it factor' that Caddy buyers are looking for. Perhaps this will be the first true success for Caddy in Europe... cheap dollar, Euros like wagons, and the BLS is selling slow... sounds like a good possibility for a M5 Estate/RS6 Avant/E55 Estate competitor!
