The current Peugeot 407 was introduced at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show and is scheduled for a minor facelift for the 2008 model year. Startign this summer the 407 Saloon and SW (Station Wagon) will feature (very) minor alterations to the pre-facelifted model.

The refreshed 407 Saloon and SW will have some more chrome details, like the vertical bars in the grille, and other 'subtle visual improvements' like the taillights. Inside Peugeot will offer more comfort for the occupants with on-board temperature control, new telematics systems and parking assist.

Most interesting changes happen under the hood though with an upgraded 2.0-litre HDi engine which now produces 103 kW / 140 bhp (3 kW improvement), requires 5.6 liters of diesel per 100 km, emits 150 g/km of CO2 and meets Euro 5 emissions standards.

Peugeot also added a new engine to its range, the 2.0-litre Bioflex engine which runs on Ethanol fuel will be available where governments apply biofuel tax incentives.

this is great! everybody can make this facelift on his own 407 just by sticking some plastic-chrome bars to the front grille! awesome idea IMO :D

contrary to most peugeot cars, the 407 has gotten old before the time, the rear bumper isnt well integrated and they seem to have increased the height?? summing up, a flop

It's not as elegant and timeless as the beautiful 406, but it has a very nice interior... squishy french luxury... mmmm cosseting : )

The 407 was not a good design so they didn't even bother to fit the new face of 308 and 207 onto it. Very poor facelift effort for a slow-selling and average car. Considering Citroen C5's size and looks, the French car of choice is quite easily C5. New Laguna looks horrible on the road and most probably we will get used to it in 6 months time...

the rear lights on the sedan looks awful and the new c5 is ALOT better looking than this and the new laguna...

No, is C5 and Mondeo design is worst way to do cars. That one still not much better. Working-class-hero's car.

The photos aren't the best but I bet it's still the same angry looking machine on the road. Besides being a 4 year old design it's still better and fresher looking than most, even newer cars. The 407 fit just as it were perfectly into the Peugeot-lineup so the minor to non-existent midlife facelift isn't really a surprise.
