Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C Spied on the Ring
Subaru Impreza WRX STi is already a scorcher, but the Type C, recently caught on the Ring, represents a tighter and lighter overall package. Such visual details include the characteristic white multi-spoke wheels, slightly different front spoiler and rear bumper lower splitter/diffuser. However, at the heart of the Type C package is weight savings.
With only a minor horsepower increase expected, the core of modifications are put towards driving dynamics. Like the preceding GD chassis Type C, we expect Subaru has trimmed approximately 70 kg (155 lbs.) via aluminium roof, boot and doors, thinner glass, smaller battery and fuel tank. Additionally suspensions gets a little stiffer, steering a little more responsive, taller gearing and brakes are upgraded to bigger disks with 6-piston calipers.
Stay tuned as we expect a Ring time to surface any day now.
70 kg isn't the BIGGEST drop... definitely will help but i wish they would have lost more. that would be wicked. whoa imagine a full carbon fibre bodied sti with like magnesium, aluminum and other exotic type materials... yea it would cost alot but imagine the possibilities :P
it's a practical sportscar. Nice to see it now without camouflage. I only wounder, why a powerful version of a car will have a smaller tank?
smaller tank ... to save weight- faster time especially on a track...
The regular STI is meant more as an all round touring sports car... Larger fuel tank to go more places..
Yay, the rally inspired STI id finally coming soon and looks more slightly more aggresive with the front lip and wheels.
stil ugly ... its just a kia cerato whit subaru logo

Strange, Kia's don't have a hatchback with Flat 4 engine producing 300bhp with a extremely complicated 4wd system.

The weight drop is gonna make this car very, very good. yes i like the fact that its a Hatchback/sportwagon
