Renault Megane III Caught Fully Uncovered

During video shoot in US

One of last week’s hottest news stories involved the French Police raid at Auto Plus (magazine) over spy pictures and details of a new model that were leaked to the press.

Well, we’re far away from France and unlike what is implied in the newspapers regarding a journalist at Auto Plus, we didn’t have any inside information – but our spy snappers stumbled upon a video shoot in the United States involving the next Megane. And although we have a variety of people attempting to cover the vehicle, photographers managed to get pictures of the next Megane – showroom ready!

The new Renault Megane III will be launched at the Paris Motor Show later this year and, as you can see, will be a strong departure from the current Megane design.

The new Megane will be a small family car offered in 3- and 5-door hatchback guise, with other versions (sedan, coupe, convertible, station wagon and probably crossover body-styles) to follow. Built on the same platform as the Nissan Qashqai, this European Renault will engage in a formidable fight with the Peugeot 308, Fiat Bravo and VW Golf VI, and will obviously be much more than just a mature evolution of the current Megane.

Interesting, I kinda like the look of the 3 door version of the megane. Those guys standing next to the car didn't seem to happy.

"just release it and you wont have to cover it up renault"

Yeah, sure, BabyMilo! That's a fantastic idea. Who needs a calibrated suspension, fully tested cooling system, and debugged engine ECU? I mean, why worry? Fully developed cars are a waste of time.

It's going to take more than a guy in Bermuda shorts to stop a car Paparazzi...

Don't forget the "no-no" finger :)) Anywa, the silhouette of the two door is great! If they manage to keep the price lower that the Golf, they have a winner on their hands!

the production team could have just tilted the tent towards the direction of the carparazzi to block that shot!

that they didn;t clearly shows that renault like the attention!

I like the car. Has a really nice hatchback-coupe shape and like its predecessor it is really ahead of its times.

the hatchback looks nice, except for those horrendous headlamps.. they've messed it up there...

rear end (from what i can see) lloks like its gonna be quite stylish from the profile angle at least. not sure about the front though. the headlight shape is not that interesting. it looks a little like a citroen actually from the front. this is obviously a sporty model, so not sure how the base models will look from the front. could be quite boring with tonnes of customary black plastic below the headlights. the saga continues then?....

what renault needs is a collapsible tent! as soon as they spot photographers they just drop the tent! lol

funny how Renault went to the USA, one of the most paparazzi crazy places in the world, to "Secretly film the car" lol

They're thinking that Renault is not in sale in US and French car are not very famous and good to pay attention to.
